Starbucks Forum:
Hi,
Is there someway I can get a copy of Starbucks employee handbook/ terms? I need it for a research project. Ofcourse, all private information (if any) need not be disclosed.
Just want to get an idea of the general terms & conditions for employment with the company.
Thanks.

Hi Sarah,
Is there some sort of an agreement that 'partners' sign before taking employment with the company?
I really dont know how Starbucks hire new employees. I am just seeking information on whether the company has any form of written agreement/ guidelines/terms that new employee sign into.
Thanks much.
I do not know about baristas
I do not know about baristas but anyone on the management track must sign a confidentiality agreement.
When I was hired on the management track, I was interviewed by six different people plus two pre interview phone conversations ... all this took three months.
My guess is that because of "drink formulas" everyone signs a nondisclosier agreement of some kind .. which is ironic as all the receipts are on the internet.

Thanks Sarah. I have sent a private message to you in this regard.
I think that there is a "hand
I think that there is a "handbook" that is given to employees (such as baristas and shift supervisors), but there is a disclaimer saying that it is not contractual and subject to change at any time (which means that it is an arbitrary joke). So it sounds all well-intentioned and that it is a great place to work with all sorts of "percs" (pun intended).

Do you need to add "pun intended" or "sarcasm" after everything you say? Not only do you look like an idiot because all you post is a bunch of random bullshit, you have to let the world know you're doing it.
All self respecting
All self respecting companies should have an employee handbook. It's the document that states the obligations of the future employee regarding the company's security and so on. Something like: you're not allowed to disclose the secret ingredient we use in preparing the Coca-Cola drink (for instance). It also states the principal rules of the office, starting with appearance and ending with the relations one can or can't have with their work mates. There might be such a thing as an employee program chapter where one can find out if he/she can get bonuses or a better title in that company.
The handbook is something
The handbook is something that contains rules and of course interior policy on different matters. One such important matter is the rewards program which allows employees to get prizes if a certain sales target is reached.
