I am considering applying with Starbucks as a Store Manager. I have General Manager experience for over 3 years at a movie theatre where I had 8 assistant managers and 65 employees who reported directly to me. My question is if anyone knows what a store manager mankes starting out and what kind of bonus program Starbucks has... any info is appreciated, thanks.

hey kyle, I don’t know all the details you’re asking about, but i thought i could give you some info from personal experience. i’ve worked at a starbucks for a few months and so far things have been going well. my overall compensation was determined by a bunch of things. one component is wages, obviously. i had worked in food service before and done some other customer service-oriented jobs, so they liked my experience and i think it factored into what I was offered. i don’t discuss who gets paid what with my colleagues, so i don’t know what everyone else makes, but I remember my recruiter person mentioning that my experience warranted 50k. the company also offers other things that they consider compensation: health care; a 401(k) program; discounts on stuff; and cheaper stock prices. i think you can also earn bonuses, but i haven’t done that yet-LOL. anyway, i hope that helps. it’s been a good experience for me so far.
