Got hurt cleaning the Verisimo. Hurt my hand pretty bad. Don't you hate this thing? I hope I'm not the only one with this problem. Don't feel like I was trained properly. Any thoughts?
i hate it because its not a real espresso machine. But i've never been hurt on it.
i think i was over trained. unusual for a fastfood joint it seems. how was the training inaddequate for you? also which state do you work in? seems like things change pretty dramatically city to city.
I had some starbucks employees show me how to use the machine, but never anyone from the manufacturer. How about you? Also, they didn't have much of a manual at the store, just one page of information. I was helping a customer when the machine jammed. I tried to unjam it and clean out what ever it was and I was severely burned and cut. I'm in MD.
you should protect yourself and not stick your hand in any appliance! it has burning hot water in there! if you don't know how to fix it have someone else show you how or call a repairman. it's not part of your job to repair ANYTHING inside of the verisimo. i know sometimes we feel like the customer has to get their drink immediately, but its just cofee- they can wait or go somewhere else if we have technical difficulties!
How in the world can you get hurt cleaning this machine. Now you try to play the "I wasn't trained well card" You are a jurk and I sure am glad you don't work in my area. We don't need smart people like you, but you are the unions best friend. They will tell you how it is all the stores fault and you had no responsiblity in what happened to you. Well I hate to say you were the one that had the ego that said you could fix something you have no training in. You are the one that put your hand in an area that has 190 degree water in it. Stop blaming someont else for your stupidity.
I appreciate the thoughts, name-calling included.
Do any of you feel that you were adequately trained as to how to use the verisimo? I'm just wondering whether the training was just lousy at my location or if that is just how the corp. does things generally. I thought it was something simple that I could take care of, but I guess I was wrong. It hurt like hell too.
