ok so my coworker and fellow shift supervisor was written up today because her cell phone was ringing, only it wasnt on her, it was in her purse in the partner lockers in the backroom, i have worked for starbucks for going on 5 years and this is the most ridiculous, petty right up i have ever heard of. She didnt answer it or talk on it or anything, does the SM who wrote her up really have that power? is she in the right?

I do not believe that is a policy. Only if she has her phone ringing on the floor, I'd think the manager would have a leg to stand on.
She should question the write up. She has the right to not sign it, and if the manager won't listen to her, she can contact the DM or report the manager to corporate.
